Happy Spring Equinox — a sacred moment of balance when the yang of light and darkness of yin are equal, and the Earth breathes in renewal. As nature awakens, so too does the energy within us begin to rise and stretch toward the sun, just like the buds on the trees.
From the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine, spring is governed by the Liver — the organ associated with vision, planning, self-expression and the smooth flow of Qi. It is a season of new beginnings, where movement, clarity, and intention take root.
My blessing to you: May your Liver Qi flow freely and gracefully like a river unblocked. May your eyes see clearly the next steps in your path. May your heart feel light, your dreams expand, and your spirit rise with the green shoots of the season.
A TCM-inspired way to enjoy this new energy: Take a gentle morning walk among trees or in the garden, breathing in the fresh, wood-scented air. Let your gaze wander far into the distance — this soothes the Liver and refreshes the Shen (spirit). As you move, invite in clarity, release any stagnant emotions, and let yourself dream anew.
Drink light, liver-loving teas like chrysanthemum, mint, or dandelion, and nourish your soul with foods that are green, fresh, and sprouting — like pea shoots, leeks, or young greens.
The Earth is whispering: Begin again.
I look forward to seeing you soon.
